Is it just me, or is every moment of our lives an oppurtunity for intercession. I work as a Social Worker and I deal with many people everyday, doctors, nurses, physical and occupational therapists, and not to mention my coworkers and patients. I probably see around 30 people per day or more to provide community resources for them or some kind of assistance, but it didn't hit me until this week that I'm supposed to be providing even more than that.
I was put in a situation which made me nervous and I found myself completely helpless. All I could do was cry out to God in intercession. I probably spent half the day praying Hail Mary's asking for Our Lady to intercede and the other half praising God. This week I developed a habit of praising God out loud. I found myself putting charts away and saying, "Praise God". I was getting all kinds of looks this week, but I don't care because if I don't praise him, the very rocks will cry out!
So what are we doing? There are obviously those people in our lives who we see and speak to everyday who need our prayers either because they are going through a difficult time or they just need conversion in some facet. WE NEED TO PRAY! Not only that, but there are so many oppurtunities that we have to offer things up. For me, it's whenever my pager goes off. I hate it when my pager goes off! But if me enduring that dumb little vibration of annoyance on my hip is what it takes to save a soul, then I am not going to complain! They can page me a million times if that will be the fruit.
I hope you all will join me and be more conscious of the oppurtunities we have throughout our days, with family and friends or whenever to pray for others. Identify who they are and what they need and pray for them! I love yall!
